Become a Christian

Scripture tells us that “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)

Therefore, if you are ready to become a Christian, your first step should be to pray. Here’s an example of how you might do that:

Most merciful God, I renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against you. I renounce the evil powers of this world, which corrupt and destroy your creatures. I renounce all sinful desires that draw me from the love of you. I turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as my Savior. I put my whole trust in his grace and love, and promise to follow and obey him as my Lord. Amen.

Christian faith is lived in community. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, make your faith commitment known publicly, be baptized into the death of Christ, live in the power of his resurrection, and look for him to come again in glory.
